Guitar speed log

Crank.

Three months in and you still cannot say whether you got faster.

Crank logs the fastest BPM you played a lick clean and draws the line. Every scale, lick, riff and drill gets its own chart, so you can check instead of guessing.

Made by one guitarist at Craftsman Interactive

The Crank fragment screen: 185 BPM against a 180 target, with the BPM chart climbing from February to June.

What the log shows

The list, the chart, and the readout when you go past target.

  • Every lick carries its number

Current BPM, target BPM, and how far you have left, on every fragment in the list.

Two fragment cards in Crank: Eruption Intro at 185 BPM past a 180 target, Canon Rock Solo at 112 BPM against 180.
  • Weeks of reps as one line

Every logged rep is a point on the chart, with the target drawn across it as a dashed line.

The Crank BPM chart climbing from 125 to 185 BPM between February and June, with the 180 target as a dashed line.
  • Past the target is marked

Beat the target and the readout turns amber. It shows how far past you went.

The Crank readout: 185 BPM against a 180 target, marked plus 5 BPM.

Questions

Not for logging BPM. Yes for the web speed test, because on speakers the microphone hears the click and counts it as playing.
