Guitar speed test
Find the BPM where your picking stops landing.
You get the BPM where you broke, your notes per second, and where that sits against everyone else who has taken the test.
Every finished run gets a link you can share. The whole thing takes about a minute and there is no signup.
Setup. Nothing is recording yet.
Setup
You need a guitar or bass, a microphone, headphones, and about a minute.
Wear headphones. On speakers the mic hears the click and scores it as you.
Audio is analysed in this tab and never uploaded. Only the final numbers are saved.
Settings
16ths at 80 BPM on guitar. Change them if that is not what you practise.
How it is measured
- The click ramps. Four bars at each tempo, then eight more BPM, from your start tempo up.
- The microphone hears attacks, not pitch. A note counts when it lands within about a third of the gap between two clicks.
- When a scored bar drops under 85 percent of the expected attacks, the run stops. That tempo is your number.
Your result
A finished run gets its own page
A finished run saves your BPM, notes per second, consistency and the ramp to a link you can copy or post, with a share image beside it. A run you stop early is not saved: a partial run would skew the pool everyone else is measured against.

Keep the number moving
One run is a snapshot. In Crank. you add the lick as a fragment, log the fastest clean BPM after each session, and the chart says whether it is going up.
